Molded GRP Gratings are made from fiberglass (as a framework) and resin, which is transferred to the matrix form. Produced grating model ensures achievement of optimal technical properties of the final product.

Standards and types of Molded GRP gratings

• ECONOM STANDARD – Polyester Resin: resin used in corrosion environment
• ECONOM NON FIRE – Polyester Resin: resin enriched with component providing fire resistance. It ensures non-fire and chemical resistant properties.
• ISO NON FIRE – Isophtalic Resin: resin contains component which ensures non-flammable of product. Designed for aggressive environment.
• FOOD NON FIRE – – Isophtalic Resin: resin contains addition which guarantee fire resistance. Used in food industry and animal breeding.
• VINYL Vinylester Resin: resin with addition of non-flammable component. Designed for aggressive environment.

Types of FRP/GRP gratings

•  Grating with smooth Surface (without anti-skid surface) – it has the same properties as others GRP Gratings, except anti-skid properties. It is commonly used as a decor, decrease protection, fences, devices protection, etc.
•  Concave GRP Gratings – concave gratings are designed for small volume of pedestrian traffic. It is used in sanitation and hygienic, in environment demanding high anti-skid resistance and to keep clean easy.
  
•  GRP Gratings Mini Mesh – it has open surface with mesh dimension 12m x 12mm. It is smallest open space which prevent falling of items with Ø 13 mm, what fulfills a European norms (it predicts Ø 15 mm mesh size). Application: working strings, small technical transport, strings for wheelchairs, etc.
•  Conductive Gratings – GRP Gratings are used in electronic, military and others industries, where is high possibility of auto ignition and/or in places exposed to electrostatic charges on devices, machines, etc. Electric resistance of GRP Grating is not less than 26 kΩ per 300 mm while maintaining all of the others desirable technical properties of GRP Gratings.
•  Covered Gratings – all of the gratings types and sizes are available in a covered gratings version. Thickness of this surface is 3 mm. It is durable and light. General application is as panels, cover of service channels, manholes, cable routes, etc.
•  Anti-skid GRP Gratings – it has usable surface as a quartz crystals; is ensures durable and abrasion resistant surfaces. This type of gratings has one of the largest degree of slip resistant, it is safety and it has wide range of applications as a pedestrian traffic.

Colours – optional. Gratings are available in any colour, according to your choice. Gratings are made by mix of pigments and resins, what ensure colour of full grating.

Stairs and ladders

It has the same properties as a standard gratings (closed noses ensures great anti-skid minimalized deflection).

Advantages of GRP gratings

•  Corrosion and chemical resistance. Corrosion is a serious problem in a lot of branches of industry for example: water and sewages, chemical industry, food industry, etc. FRP/GRP Gratings were designed to ensure safety, durable, economic and reliable solution in the scope of safety work in different environments where chemicals and others harmful substances are affect on metal, wood and others materials. Depending on environment polyester, isophtalic, phenol resins or vinylester resins are used in production of FRP/GRP Gratings and others products.
•  FRP/GRP Gratings are easy to keep it clean. No covered Grating protects from accumulation of pollutants on surfaces. It has corrosion and UV radiation resistance.
•  Economy – costs of steel gratings and GRP Gratings are similar. However giving the longevity of GRP and lack of maintenance costs, the real economy is visible. Also installation costs of our products are lower than steel gratings.
•  High durable, low weight – GRP Gratings are made from fiberglass reinforced polyester and vinylester resins. It is characterised by durability, high strength, low weight (even to 50% of the steel gratings weight), easy installing without using of heavy equipment. Compared with competitive products made from metal, GRP Gratings has better impact indicator on natural environment.
•  Durability – durability of our gratings allows multiply changes of localisation without deformation of product structure. Changes in the structure may occur only under maximum load exceeded the standards. In contrast to steel gratings, our products despite of deflection resulting from the impact of load, and goes back to gratings previously form after its removal from grating.
•  Safety – GRP Gratings haven’t any conductive properties, so our products are very popular in places exposed to danger electric current. Due to non-magnetic properties our gratings may be used in environment where antistatic is desirable on flammable acid environment and on dangerous places exposed to auto ignition.

•  Anti-skid indicators and ergonomics – falls, slips, fractures and other damages of the body are only some of the results of non-compliance of H&S rules on workplace. GRP Gratings are produced in two versions:
  • Grating with anti-skid surface protected by silica;
  • Grating with anti-skid surface with concave edges.
